Around 32 million people were under winter weather alerts on Saturday as Floridians braced for a severe cold snap and snow threatened the southern Appalachians and Southeast.
Miami could experience its lowest temperatures in over a decade, with a nighttime low of around 35 degrees.
Much of Florida has been spared the extreme cold in recent weeks, but that's about to change. Another blast of even colder air will sweep south and east later this week and into the weekend, potentially bringing record low temperatures as far south as the Florida Keys.
