Gemm Media takes on Shanghai Disney’s 10K Inspiration Run!

As Gemm Media’s resident fitness enthusiast, I participated in the first-ever Inspirational Run at Shanghai Disney Resort.
Tickets for the highly anticipated event sold out in minutes!
As the race date approached, we trained and ran several times a week to get in shape for the 10K. Three days before the race, we arrived in Shanghai, and I picked up the welcome pack, which included a Shanghai Disney Inspirational Run t-shirt, a Sketchers visor, a Chevrolet sports towel, and other small items.
To arrive early for the event on the morning of September 16, 2018, we booked our stay at the Toy Story Hotel. Stepping into the hotel was like stepping into the world of Toy Story. Bright colors, concept art adorning the walls, and charming details like a bedside table with a Rubik’s Cube made my stay magical. All the staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to greet me with warm smiles.
The race began, weaving our way through the other runners as we made our way through Disney Town. Belle waved to us from a restaurant balcony: "Bonjour!" The sun was beating down, but we kept going and arrived at Toy Story Land, where Jessie, Lotso, Buzz, and Woody cheered us on. Running through the park was exciting thanks to all the characters there, who encouraged and inspired us to keep going. Halfway through the race, the course left the theme park and entered the tranquil and peaceful Wishing Star Park, which surrounds a lake. This was the most challenging part of the race, as there were many hills and curves to navigate. Finally, as I was on the home stretch, I saw Mickey and Minnie and waved to them before raising my hand at the finish line. Having run the 10K on such a hot, sunny day, I then went to the awards ceremony, where the marketing director and other executives presented prizes to the fastest runners.
We enjoyed a short dance performance with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck!
What a magical experience!
We were so happy to represent Gemm Broadcasting Corporation at the first-ever Shanghai Disney Inspiration Run. We'll be back next year!

Como entusiasta del fitness residente de Gemm Media, participé en la primera Carrera Inspiracional en el Shanghai Disney Resort.
¡Las entradas para el esperado evento se agotaron en minutos!
A medida que se acercaba la fecha de la carrera, entrenábamos y corríamos varias veces por semana para ponernos en forma para los 10K. Tres días antes de la carrera, llegamos a Shanghái y recogí el paquete de bienvenida, que incluía una camiseta de la Carrera Inspiracional de Shanghai Disney, una visera de Sketchers, una toalla deportiva de Chevrolet y otros pequeños artículos.
Para llegar temprano al evento la mañana del 16 de septiembre de 2018, reservamos nuestra estancia en el Hotel Toy Story. Entrar al hotel fue como adentrarse en el mundo de Toy Story. Colores brillantes, arte conceptual que adornaba las paredes y detalles encantadores como una mesita de noche con un cubo de Rubik hicieron que mi estancia fuera mágica. Todo el personal fue increíblemente amable y se tomaron el tiempo de recibirme con cálidas sonrisas.
La carrera comenzó, abriéndonos paso entre los demás corredores mientras atravesábamos Disney Town. Bella nos saludó desde el balcón de un restaurante: "¡Bonjour!". El sol caía a plomo, pero seguimos adelante y llegamos a Toy Story Land, donde Jessie, Lotso, Buzz y Woody nos animaron. Correr por el parque fue emocionante gracias a todos los personajes que nos animaron e inspiraron a seguir. A mitad de la carrera, el recorrido dejó el parque temático y entró en el tranquilo y apacible Wishing Star Park, que rodea un lago. Esta fue la parte más desafiante de la carrera, ya que había muchas cuestas y curvas que sortear. Finalmente, en la recta final, vi a Mickey y Minnie y los saludé antes de levantar la mano en la meta. Después de correr los 10 km en un día tan caluroso y soleado, fui a la ceremonia de premios, donde el director de marketing y otros ejecutivos entregaron los premios a los corredores más rápidos.
