Amish mother accused of murdering her 4-year-old son after throwing him into the lake, hours after his dad's shocking death.

 

A woman from Ohio has been charged with aggravated murder five days after she allegedly drove a golf cart to a lake with three of her children on board, in what she later told the police that it was a religious mission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miller allegedly told police that he threw the boy into the lake as an "offering to God," Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis Campbell said this week at a press conference.

 

She also faces two charges of domestic violence and one of child hazard, it is related to her allegedly driving a golf cart with three of her older children on board on the lake. The older children survived the incident, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office previously.

Ruth R. Miller, 40, was charged with two counts of aggravated murder on Wednesday, August 27, according to the New Philadelphia Municipal Court's court records.

 

The Associated Press reports that the charges are related to the death of his 4-year-old son, Vincen, whom he allegedly confessed to throwing him to Atwood Lake on Saturday, August 23.
